Alex4 is a b2b distribution company specializing in synthesizers and other electronic music and studio equipment. Located in the Pankow district of Berlin, we are a fully-fledged distribution with our own warehouse.

The company was founded in 2012 by Andreas Schneider and is named after the address (Alexanderplatz 4) of his first company, SchneidersBuero.

Alex4 distribution emerged out of the organic need to provide better distribution opportunities for some of the Eurorack manufacturers that Andreas Schneider was already working closely with through the SchneidersLadenstore.

Today, Alex4’s distribution network ranges from foundational modular manufacturers like Doepfer, Buchla and Analogue Systems, to popular modern Eurorack brands such as Frap Tools and Endorphin.es, to flagship poly-synth manufacturers like UDO Audio and Black Corporation, to new upstart brands such as Dannysound and Teaching Machines.

As a b2b distribution, Alex4 supports brands and manufacturers by handling and navigating international sales, shipping, logistics and bureaucracy. We are also happy to advise and support marketing and promotion efforts.

We have strong working relationships with the important specialist retail fronts and media outlets in the synthesizer and electronic music equipment industry, and are especially experienced in helping smaller-scale operations succeed. 

Our team consists of musicians and electronic music enthusiasts, so it is important for us to work with brands whose products we can stand behind and that we can develop a close relationship with. 

Our goal is to play a part in supporting the diversity and longevity of the boutique and niche electronic music equipment manufacturer ecosystem.

In 2024, Alex4 is furthering this commitment by launching a new web magazine and content platform called Stromkult that aims to bring quality content related to electronic music and electronic music-making to a wider audience.
